Current Class Offerings
Mondays, 10 am at Willow Glen Yoga, Yoga Basics. This class will introduce the fundamentals of yoga in a nurturing, safe environment. Yoga is a vast collection of spiritual techniques and practices aimed at integrating mind, body and spirit to achieve a state of enlightenment or oneness with the universe. Different paths of yoga emphasize different approaches and techniques, but ultimately lead to the same goal of unification and enlightenment. Learn popular yoga poses, proper alignment, and breathing techniques for individual experience and observable results. Discover how yoga is a practice of personal inquiry and exploration. Wednesdays, 10:45 at Almaden Yoga at Blossom Hill, Full-Figured Yoga Series (extended through October). This class is designed for those in larger bodies, and/or in bodies that are working toward flexibility and strength, and/or for those who are still learning and/or those who could use special consideration for injury and recovery concerns. Through the use of props and modifications, we will explore how to incorporate the pose to fit your particular body while creating a foundation for a strong yoga practice.
